Moving to the big apple for this California-born athlete is something that scares Ava Cowan to death.
She says, “The fast pace of the city makes my heart race with fear. I know that in order to go to the next level personally and professionally, I have to get uncomfortable.”
Ava Cowan knows from experience “that extreme discomfort” always leads “to bigger and better things,” and nothing dispels anxiety quite so fast as the familiarity of routine, which Ava found after a visit to the famous Bev Francis Gym in New York.
“This has been intense, and to find some comfort…I was pretty star-struck by the entire place.”
This move has been the most challenging of all for Ava, but she says, “God put these dreams in my heart, and I’ll never give up.”
Those dreams include hosting life-coaching seminars, writing books, and being on television. And of course, training with the best in the sport of bodybuilding.
What’s the most challenging thing you’ve ever done for your sport?
