Every once in a while you come across an amazing photo that makes you do a double take. That’s exactly what this photo did when we first stumbled upon it.
How is this even possible?
Fitness enthusiasts and athletes alike will go to great lengths to achieve their dreams, no matter what the cost. Sometimes you underestimate yourself and the reward is in the surprise you get when you realize just how much you are capable of and how strong you really are.
Other times you can overestimate yourself and push yourself too hard and that can result in disappointment and setbacks, particularly if you incur an injury. But it’s all part of the process. We learn more and more about our bodies and minds every day when we’re in the gym or competing out on the field. Wherever your athletic goals take you, you’re learning and this is another part of the challenge and reward system that goes along with pushing yourself past your personal best.
So what’s the secret?
Be prepared. Always have a back-up plan. When you approach the mountain and start to climb, recognize your limitations and give yourself credit for knowing when it’s time to stop. And who knows, maybe you’ll witness the best sunset you’ll ever see in your lifetime – like this guy right here.
