Summer is the time when you take it outside and put your hard-earned muscle to the test.
It’s a season of baseball, mountain biking, and water sports. Most of us find ourselves by the water at some point during the summer, whether it’s at a friend’s cottage or down by the local beach. It’s the best time to pack a bag and take a day trip somewhere to cool off.
The most dedicated fitness enthusiast will keep doing their time in the gym all summer long for fear of losing that hard-earned muscle, but even just a half hour of a different activity like water skiing will give your muscles a wake-up call and work you out in ways and on planes you just can’t reach in the gym.
So this summer, try not to get too tied down to your training schedule. Relax a little and take it outside. It’s the best time to get in some quality cross training and test your mettle.
