Fitmark Ambassador, Jelani Kelly, talks gym preperation
So I am a big fan of quotes and adages about success, motivation, and inspiration. I think one of my all time favorite quotes is from the recently passed Zig Ziglar that says “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” So daily I look to post something positive on my Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram pages. Another adage that I hear often is “Failing to plan is planning to fail.” Well as much as that is true I want to add a new twist to it. I want to talk about PLANNING TO SUCCEED. I want to let you in on a few tips that can help you succeed in your fitness goals while still living your everyday routine.
I know many of you are very busy and many of you still want to have that killer physique you see in all the fitness magazines. Well, it is achievable with some hard work, dedication, and proper planning. If you are like me, you cannot live in the gym for three hours a day and you don’t have a personal chef to prepare your food. I am husband, father, full time teacher, and a basketball coach. So my time management is critical to my success. That does not mean that you cannot make your fitness goal come true. Today, I just want to point a few tips that can lead you to success…
So much of it is in the planning, so here are 2 tips
- PACK YOUR GYM BAG BEFORE GOING TO BED
- I wake up at 5am to train in the morning and having the gym bag at my door already packed is a nice mental reminder that I am going to hop up and go train hard.
- WRITE OUT YOUR WORKOUT AHEAD OF TIME
- If you have a goal about how you want your body to look then you need to have a PLAN for your workouts. Everyone has different goals but I advised you find a workout plan that fits your goals.
I hope these tips can help jump-start you into living a healthy lifestyle. Make it a great day!
