Fitmark Ambassador Nick Cecola talks about the importance of time management
My name is Nick and I am a Natural Physique Competitor/Bodybuilder and Fitness Fanatic. A few months ago, I signed up for a contest to see how much I could transform my body in 4 months…
The contest was nothing short of LIFE CHANGING. Looking back I wasn’t completely happy with my physique. I wanted to be stronger and bigger. I took on the contest as a challenge for myself. I wanted to do something, so I can say I worked at it every day. So the results would be completely REAL and REWARDING. Every piece of food consumed, every protein shake I drank, all the sweat and tears in the gym were absolutely 100% real and were going on in my life. I stayed true to my beliefs, trained hard and stayed natural. I wanted to see serious results. With this contest, I had a full schedule of college work, a 32+ hrs a week at my actual job, not to mention working on a senior thesis in order to graduate, being part of the Mock Trial team, traveling to compete in “litigations” all around the country, and taking care of my apartment.
Times were rough – actually, time became my enemy. The only thing that saved me is something I learned in class: time management. I was able to write everything down that needed to be done. I made myself become very strict. I followed a system consistently. I waited until I failed, and then learned from those failures to continue to rise. I worked hard every day. Fighting for sleep and keeping my motivation at an all-time high. Yes, there were times where I wanted to quit, but thankfully with the help of my fellow “competitors, I made myself focus and work harder.
There were times when it seemed that parts of my life were falling short; however, this is when I really started to take off. I began assigning myself small objectives that were very specific things in my life. Each part had something I wanted to improve on to make myself a better person. I began assigning these goals to my work life, school life, personal life and of course bodybuilding life. I used these as check marks, to see if I was progressing.
Have I met all my goals? I feel that you can answer that by seeing the end result. Every single part of my life has been in progression mode. I have shared a majority of it on YouTube. www.youtube.com/user/thenacfitness I have also made quite a few reviews, blogs and threads discussing key parts. Overall the products were great, these by far made a huge impact on my progress. My best suggestion to everybody is seek SUPPORT, FOLLOW a STRICT PROGRAM, EAT RIGHT and ENOUGH, EXERCISE PROPERLY and KNOW YOUR BODY! With all of that, there’s no reason EVERYONE can’t LIVE SHREDDED!
