Fitmark Ambassador Ashley McTucker lays it straight when it comes to your personal health.
“That will be $375.00” said your doctor after reviewing your current health stats and recommending diet and exercise. “Hang on…. can we back up? $375.00 for something I already knew about and was free?”
Do I have your attention? Good. Let’s get down to brass tax. The bottom line is, there is not one person in the world who doesn’t already know that taking care of their health is not only vital, but can save a lot of time, stress, agony, doctor’s visits, pain, tears, money and whatever else comes along with being unhealthy. The inability to walk without gasping for air, or the fact that the money you just spent at the doctor’s office could have very well been saved and used for something you actually need. Maybe a vacation or a payment on a bill. But hey, you didn’t know he would say that, right?
The point of the matter is, I hear excuses all day long. I don’t care what the excuse is, every single one carries the same lethargic and sorry meaning. Telling me you don’t have time to take care of your health is like telling me you can’t afford to breathe when breathing is free! It makes absolutely NO sense. Let’s face it, if you don’t take care of your health, what more are you going to be able to do in life that you’ve always wanted to do? Where do you see the sign that says “Your health doesn’t matter!”? It does!! You cannot do anything without your health. You won’t be capable of performing every task from work to playing with your kids or maybe even just walking; if you don’t start paying attention, save your lame excuses and take action!
This isn’t rocket science; although for some, I believe it may seem like rocket science due to vast arrays of conflicting health and fitness information. Anything you do to increase your health, one step at a time, is more than doing absolutely nothing about it, wasting more money sitting at the doctor’s office taking advice from a medical doctor, who, in school, never studied nutrition and the effects it has on the human body. We can’t fix things with medication. Its a temporary fix and drains not only your bank account, but more importantly, something you cannot put a price tag on:
Take action, be alive and start enjoying life!
