Fitmark Ambassador Esteban Castellanos gives you a couple tips about how to get after your goals no matter what
In many cases we tend to shoot for the stars. We look at photos from other transformations and how people have changed their lives, but what we don’t do is change ourselves. Everything starts within us and as many say “if we plan to fail we will never change our eyes”. That being said, we will never see that perfect body we want without hard work! Even though others might say things like; “your abs aren’t cut” or “your chest is not big enough” or “our behind doesn’t look like J-Lo’s” what matters is if you’re working hard, you will see it! With all of that time being spent on wishing, we could have better abs or sharper arms but we need to do it; not just say it. I’m finding that in my own journey to fitness it’s not easy but I know I can do it.

I have been working on my own transformation (goal is 60 days) and I’m only 24 days into it. I have felt my body run clean and I don’t lose any time in preparing everything I’ll need for the gym for the next day. The simple steps make the biggest milestone for us to make our dreams come true. I have found great support from my loved ones and family, but don’t think you’ll always have a positive reaction from them. I have found not everyone will be happy for what you’re doing, and who knows why? But know that there is place and time to help or push them to do 10 minutes of walking or some sit ups somewhere down the road. Not everyone can get right into an “Amanda”. In the CrossFit community that’s a timed workout with reps of 15-12-9 and 3 rounds of muscle ups which is an awesome workout!
Staying focused and motivated is not an easy thing as we know. It easy to lay in bed and watch SpongeBob all day. When that little voice says “stay here-don’t work hard -take a day off” you’ll have to tell that voice “sorry but we’re doing this!” We’re not perfect but we do have control of who we want to be. For me I want to change and motivate others around me, and be a role model in the smallest ways in life. If I made someone smile I’ve done my job, but I also have to smile before I go out and face each new day.
Never lose sight of all of your goals
Stay fit,
