Fitmark Ambassador Elisabeth Zulkosky explains how finding time for your health is possible
Some people say they run out of it, others say they don’t have it, while the people who want it, find it. The word we are talking about is time. How often have you found yourself saying, If only I had more time I could get this accomplished? I have been guilty of using this term or others like it many times.
I found that when a person organizes their time correctly, they can succeed at accomplishing everything they have wanted in a day. I work two jobs and also compete, which is like another job in itself. I learned that finding time was essential in order to accomplish my lifelong goal of competing and making the change I wanted to see in myself. With the prepping of everything to the two-hour workouts, and making a living with my jobs, it was difficult to find the time, or so I thought.
Living the fitness lifestyle teaches you many things such as organization, awareness, responsibility, and respect. I learned that in order to succeed I needed to re-evaluate and differentiate between the things that were important with the things that I thought were important. I wanted to feel my best and know that I did what I needed to do, in order to step on stage and have the confidence of being comfortable in my skin.
I make time to go to the gym. It isn’t easy getting up at 5am because change is never easy for anyone. I constantly was fighting with myself to stay in my warm bed, but knowing I wanted to change my appearance triumphed over it all. I knew it would be worth it. People will find the time if they truly want it. They will organize their lives, get in their appointments, spend time with loved ones, go to their jobs, and still have time for themselves; if they set a goal to make time without the excuses. I promise you, you will feel so happy about yourself and your succeeded goals, that the time you made will be worth it.
