Fitmark Ambassador Kristin Pope explains that there are while there are many unique workouts its best to choose what works for you
With so many choices of how to exercise I think it is a great idea to try out as many as you can to find what you are passionate about. It took me a long time to find that CrossFit is what makes me tick. There are so many aspects about CrossFit that keep me excited to go back to the gym day after day. The main thing I love is that very seldom are there any 2 workouts that are repeated exactly, the fact that it is constantly varied keeps me on my toes ready to go back for more. I also really like competing, whether it be in actual competitions or day to day with my fellow teammates at The Garage where I train. Competition is my driving force, I thrive off of defeat more than anything. If someone gets a better time than me in a WOD it gets me so motivated to go back the next day and crush their time on a different workout!
CrossFit is what works for me, what works for you? There are so many unique styles of working out to try! If you have ever found yourself in a rut or bored with your training, maybe it is time to try something new. If you have been an elliptical cardio queen for years, maybe give Tabata a try to shake things up. Or if you are a runner, maybe try swimming for your exercise outlet for a while because who knows… you could find your passion is Triathlons! Whatever you do, make sure you are passionate about it. When you are having fun with your workouts you are a lot more likely to stay consistent and see the results you want faster!
