Fitmark Ambassador Bobby Graves explains how making a positive change when you’re running high speed is important to your health
It was a year ago that life really changed; or it was a year ago that I committed to change. It became apparent early on in my new real estate career that the fast pace & high level of stress was going to take a toll. Dealing with a roller coaster of intense emotions all day for your clients then coming home to my wife and 3 kids, football games, volleyball, gymnastics, and soccer practice oh ya and a little hubby and wife time. You exhausted yet? Lets just say my tank was on empty at the end of the day and I was positive that eating right and exercising would of just left me more worn out. Then it just was time.
I realized I need a way to provide an exit for my own energy which allowed me to feel rested, and although that 9 pm workout was at times trying to muster up the attitude to tackle my new found interest, it was in fact exactly what I needed.
I shaved off 30 pounds in 11 months hitting my homemade gym 5-6 nights a week adding new equipment every couple of months. My trainer an amazingly patient friend help to change my workouts every month and do weekly monitoring of my kitchen habits. Going paleo Strong for quite some time now. Set the excuses aside and take an hour for yourself and your loved ones. Be the best YOU!!
