You might at first think these two are the same, but in reality, they are very different and you need both to succeed! I myself, am very dedicated. When I set my mind to something I do it 100% until it’s done! However, without motivation, you cannot enjoy yourself and you may lose sight of why you started in the first place. You can also be extremely motivated but unless you are truly dedicated to the cause, you cannot achieve success.
As a bikini Competitor, it’s always a constant struggle trying to maintain a balance between the two. Competing is a physically and emotionally tasking sport! But I love it and it is my passion! So what do you do when that motivation or dedication starts to fade?
Every time I’m lacking in either, I go ask myself the same question…. why are you here? What’s your ultimate goal? I go back and think of all the reasons that I started and that just takes me back to that moment every time! I literally write down my goals and see them come to life in my head! I also like to look up motivational people in the competitive world that have been a constant inspiration to me! Reading their stories and looking at their pictures gives me that drive all over again! Next thing you know, I’m killing my workout and sticking to my meal plan 100%. So remember, motivation and dedication, you need both to succeed and you may have to go back and remind yourself why you started. In the end, it’s always worth the hard work and sweat!
