Last December I started goal setting and vision boarding to create my reality. When I started creating my vision board I truly didn’t realize how powerful writing out my vision, hanging my vision on my wall, and sharing my vision with my clients could be. The simple act of goal setting and vision boarding has helped me create opportunities that I probably wouldn’t have acted on had I not put those goals in writing and in a location that not only I can see daily but that my kids, my clients, my friends, anyone that comes to my house can see daily.
One of the things that I have been manifesting is a new car. There is nothing majorly wrong with my current vehicle it simply doesn’t suit my needs, it’s not big enough for my family, it’s 10 years old, and has high mileage, which has led me to start researching what my next vehicle will be.
Part of manifesting this new vehicle is research; I went online and built the car I wanted, printed out the specs of the car, and hung that up on my vision wall. Then I went to the car dealer and test drove one of the cars I was looking at (which I decided I didn’t want because of the blind spots). I even went so far as to put my business card magnet on the side of the car and have the dealer take a picture of me which I posted on my Facebook page and use as a screen saver on my cell phone.
Funny how once I started creating my vision of the ‘perfect’ vehicle my current vehicle started to have some issues. Nothing unusual, just basic wear and tear that you would expect on a car with over 100,000 miles (new front brakes, new tires, new alternator, etc.).So I am posed with the question, do I continue to repair a car that maybe has a few years left on it but still has a little value or do I sell this car and take on the responsibility of a car payment? What did I decide you ask? I decided to not decide. I decided that I will have faith that everything is unfolding as it is meant to be, I am simply going to take it one moment at a time and just not stress over any of it. Today I am going to test drive the Ford Flex (ironic that I, a self proclaimed meathead, is looking at a FLEX). Stay tuned I will let you know how it all plays out!
