Fitmark Ambassador Robert Simmons encourages you to change it up when your workout routine becomes stagnant and you need a change
Workouts can be so routine and stagnant at times. Monday is chest day, Tuesdays are arms, Wednesday legs, etc., etc. Your workouts start to be predictable and boring. Who wants to be predictable, right? I know I don’t.
There are many ways you can switch up your workouts to force yourself out of the ‘norm’. Here are a couple examples I do switch it up. First example, is do a non weight day. Meaning I will do push up, pull ups, bar dips and abs. Another example which is my favorite, I love doing a “cable day”.
The reason why I love “cables” is because there are various exercises you can do within the cable system. Triceps, biceps, back, shoulders are some of the different exercises. I typically will spend a good 60-90 minutes hitting as many exercises I can think of cable related of course. I really don’t attempt to lift really heavy, I focus on the stretch and squeeze. I over emphasis my range of motion and extension during these exercises. This way you get a nice burning sensation which ultimately leaves you tight and ripped.
So the name of the game not to be ordinarily in your workout but be extraordinary. Switch it up.
