Fitmark Ambassador Maggie Corso shares that fitness doesn’t have to be complicated and sometimes the simplest movements work the best
For the most part, I train using very basic and boring exercises. I’m not one for trying to build excitement into routines with lots of jumping around or feats of balance. I have my absolute “always do” things, my “go to” things for when I want to switch it up. But all in all, it’s really no frills basics.

What I do like to do is to play around with pre-fatiguing, giant sets, tri-sets, forced reps, negatives, holds, speed vs. slow concentrated movement, time under tension, etc. Truly, there are so many ways to go about the same exercises that I just don’t see a need to make myself crazy trying to come up with new things to do all of the time. I go with the feel and so for me that pumped full of blood sensation is what jazzes me up. Add difficulty walking or holding my protein cup to the equation and it’s a bonus!
So while standing on a Bosu ball while doing shoulder press, etc… may look interesting enough and sure does draw attention in the gym, you can keep it. I like my old school workouts. It’s what I’ve used to build the physique that I have today. Nothing fancy. Just getting it done!
Stay fit!
