Plyometric is a great way to elevate the heart rate and ensure maximum intensity. Haven’t heard of plyometric movements? Well, it consists of quick eccentric and concentric contractions that condition the body and burns calories. These are beneficial by increasing reaction time from the nervous system in the muscle fiber, increasing agility, power, and speed.
These moves do not have to be designated to one day, but can be incorporated into your normal routine. There are a variety of plyometric exercises out there, so choose ones that fit your fitness and difficulty level. If you feel the need to crank up your workout, this is just the thing to do it!
