Fitmark Ambassador Zane Hadzick encourages you to be positive and shares a few simple tips on how you can learn to keep your motivation
Whether it is fitness, nutrition, a career, or personal relationships, they all take work and effort to be successful! Let’s be honest, we’re all searching for ways to thrive in our aspirations and achieve our goals. And the biggest piece of advice I hear for succeeding is to just get started. After all, getting started is the hardest part, right?
Well, that might arguably be the case, but for some people it’s the consistent motivation and the continual pursuit of their goals that prevail as the most challenging aspect.
So how do you stay motivated? The answer is – you teach yourself to stay motivated! Try these three quick and easy tips!
- First and foremost, learn what gets you fired up (or inspired)! Sounds crazy, but you need to ask yourself what works best for you. Are you the type that needs music? Perhaps you need to compare yourself to others, or yourself. Regardless of what inspires and motivates you, you must find out what it is so you can make sure you focus on it! Discover what drives you and use it!
- Make an inspirational and motivational board! This can be as simple as a Pinterest board of motivational quotes and pictures, or following inspirational people & organizations on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. I personally like to put motivational sayings in places that I routinely walk or pass by, such as my bathroom mirror or on top a notebook. The key here is to continually expose yourself to what motivates you so you have a constant stream of inspiration. Surround yourself with an environment that compels you to do well!
- Set short and long term goals. This will really help you stay on track. The motivation provided by achieving a short term goal is tremendously helpful! Often time’s people will only focus on their long term goals. This just sets people up for failure because they feel like they’re constantly falling short and will never quite get there. By setting shorter term goals, you can ascertain the immeasurable feeling of success and the accompanying motivation that comes with it!
So next time you need a self-esteem booster, or just need a bit more motivation remember these tips, and teach yourself to be motivated. Keep it simple, give it your best, be positive, and stay motivated! You can stay motivated and thrive at whatever you set your mind to!
