We decided to have some fun with Hump Day! We like to have a lot of fun, and maybe act a little nuts, otherwise it’s just a bunch of Wednesdays thrown together. Here is a bit of fun facts about Fitmark athlete, Creator & Producer of Microsoft Bing Fitness Yoga, Wellness Expert for Shape.com & MindBodyGreen, Heidi Kristoffer We asked, she answered; here’s how she rolls!
Q. You get the chance to train anyone in your family only one time. Who would it be and what would you have them do?
A. My Grandmother in her prime- she is the coolest lady I know, and pre-arthritis, I would have loved to teach her how to hang out upside down- she would have been all over that!
Q. You get to the airport and can buy tickets to anyplace in the world, where would it be? 3, 2, 1… GO!
A. INDIA! I’ve been scheduled to go on pilgrimages with teachers, but it has never worked out schedule wise. I want so much to view the ancient temples and live and practice in the motherland.
Q. What’s the last song you played on your ipod? If it’s Prince you’re on the score board for +10!
A. My husband and I were on a five hour drive, and we were singing every show tune duet we know- pretty sure we ended on Grease.
Q. How many days a week are you game to train?
A. Every day- I am such a happier person when I get to move.
Q. It’s a rest day. Take advantage or what is a rest day?
A. Listen to your body, and respect what it is telling you to do.
Q. Pool side, water park, beach fun? Yes please! Or, I don’t have time to tan.
A. Private pool or beach – definitely beach if surf boards are involved!
Q. T-shirt and Jeans or Gym clothes… all day everyday. Even going out.
A. I try to wear “real clothes” when I can – I was all yoga clothes all the time for the first five years or so, then I wanted to feel like a “grown up” and feminine, so I wear dresses when I can, and I like it.
Q. You have the choice of any cheat meal on the planet, but can only have it one time for the rest of your life. What would it be?
A. I don’t believe that anything is a cheat meal. That is a very limiting, un-fun view. I eat what I want, when I want. I never eat meat, and I try to listen to my body and respond to it’s needs. Also: life is short; I eat loads of (vegan) desserts- raw vegan when at all possible!
Q. You have the chance to be an all star at any sport in the world. What sport would you choose?
A. I am currently living my dream life. I wouldn’t want to be anyone other than me. I worked hard, and did a lot of work (and made a lot of mistakes!) getting to where I am. Although: I do admire top dancers- the things they can do with their bodies, and their discipline is mind-blowing, and so, so admirable.
Q. Do you even lift?
A. Absolutely not 🙂 Why? I use my own body weight- what is better than that?
