As fitness enthusiasts, most of us work out every day and wouldn’t dream of taking a day off. But this wear and tear on the body can lead to injury and burnout. A good detox program can help rejuvenate your body, refresh your mind and recharge your energy stores.
It all starts first thing in the morning, with just you and a blender:
Super Yummy Green Detox Smoothie
It’s not easy being a green smoothie, because frankly, we taste horrible! But not the Fitmark Super Yummy! We made it delicious! Place the following ingredients in order into a blender and blend until smooth. Drink and enjoy:
- 1 cup coconut water
- ½ banana
- 1 celery stalk
- ½ an apple
- ¼ cucumber
- 4 small chunks of pineapple
- ¼-inch slice ginger root
- 2 sprigs of fresh cilantro
- Small handful of basil leaves
- A few drops of lime juice
- ½ tablespoon chia seeds
- Stevia to sweeten
