What does your run about town look like? Perhaps it’s an early morning jog on the quiet streets of your favorite route. Or maybe it’s a bike ride to the local coffee shop before hitting the gym. Or perhaps you’re spending a couple of hours at the park, running after the little one and a mutt called Adrenaline. Everyone’s run about town is as unique as it is personal, but one thing we know for sure is that staying hydrated is very important.
Sight seeing via outdoor running in Malta. An epic way to see the sights, and sometimes you catch that little gem you may miss otherwise. Can’t do my outdoor sessions without my Fitmark bag ~ Fitmark Ambassador Mark Hoban.
A Runner’s Dream: Sight Seeing with the Pack
An avid runner, self-described functional athlete, and Head of Phys. Ed. at his local high school, Mark takes his training seriously. Whether at home or on holiday in Malta, he loves taking his cardio to the streets and going for a 10K run.
Known for his outstanding performance on BBC TV’s Last Man Standing, Mark traveled the world and competed against indigenous athletes trained in their own tribal or traditional sports. He says:
Filming the TV series proved to me what I was able to achieve physically and mentally. It pushed me to my limits and beyond, but proved to me how diversely fit and mentally strong I am.
Staying hydrated on the run is vital to endurance and performance, which is why the Run About Town Backpack is ideal for Mark. It’s lightweight, water repellent and fits nice and snug. Perfect for someone who’s always on the go and running about town somewhere around the world.
Bike Rides and Coffee Runs
Running about town for Fitmark Ambassador Leah Peters is a coffee run to the local java house on her trusty bike. She says, “I really love bike rides. I just love being outside, hot or cold.”
As a fitness competitor, cross-country runner, and owner of LeahPetersFitness.com, Leah describes herself as an absolute fitness enthusiast. She never passes up the opportunity to get outdoors and have some fun, or train! Whether it’s cross-country running, walking her dog, or riding her bike to the coffee shop, the Run About Town Backpack, with its 2L water reservoir, is ideal for someone like Leah. She says,
I absolutely love it. I’ve been able to increase my mileage while staying hydrated and I can easily mix in a pre-workout supplement or BCAAs! The best part is that exploring outside, the hill country is the best cardio.
Fun Active Day with the Family
For Maria Kang, the No Excuse Mom and Founder of Fitness Without Borders, running about town means a full day of helping women stay motivated and healthy. She believes that becoming a healthier nation begins by “taking accountability for our [own] health,” and making health a priority.
After a successful online campaign promoting fitspiration, Maria continues to inspire women everywhere. She’s a busy mom of three and loves spending time outdoors with her family. She enjoys the Run About Town Backpack for its high quality and functionality. She says:
I love the quality, especially for an active mama like myself who likes to take long bike rides, hike mountains and participate in charity races ~ Fitmark Ambassador Maria Kang.
Obstacle Race Course
Running about town for fitness enthusiast Scott Morgan is a day on the obstacle course. Three miles of signature obstacles, not to mention mud and water, Scott completed the Spartan Race, together with his team from Jigalin Fitness. The race pushes you to your limits and tests your resilience. We knew it would be the ideal testing ground for our sturdy hydration pack, and Scott agreed.
This bag stayed put and snug to the back without bouncing. Without removal of the backpack while racing, the breathable back capability made the temperature feel much cooler. Also, just in case we needed to wet the beak, the concealed water bladder was attached to a valve for accessible hydration.
