Another truckload of great-for-school bags are on their way to local youth organizations in the California area. It’s all part of Fitmark’s Giving Back Program and our way of saying thank you to our loyal fans and customers who have helped us reach our goals.
So far the total number of bags we’ve donated is 14,034, and we’re not stopping anytime soon. We made a promise earlier this year to exceed last year’s goal and go big! We set a target of 20,000 bags and right now, as we speak, our team is busy crafting another 4,000 bags for The Boys and Girls Clubs of America and other youth organizations in the community.
We’re also building partnerships and talking to a bunch of amazing people responsible for making these youth organizations as great as they are today. Because we want to get more involved, especially in their back-to-school programs. It’s something we’ve done from the get-go:
From the beginning, we made it a commitment to work hard and grow our company so that we not only achieved our growth projections, but that we also gave back to the community as much as we could.
Fitmark Founder and CEO, Mark Samuel is always happy to volunteer his time. He’s participated in a number of Teen Summit panel discussions and earlier this year, he was one of the judges at the Los Angeles County Alliance for Boys & Girls Clubs of America 2016 Youth of the Year Award, the premier recognition program for Club members.
Kids need positive role models, and if our team can showcase that positivity, even for one kid, we’re doing our job – Fitmark Founder and CEO, Mark Samuel.
There’s nothing like seeing those smiling faces of all the kids when the Fitmark van pulls up outside. It’s an exciting day for everyone and a chance for us to help kids do well in school, so they can grow up to be successful in life.
