Too Busy to Eat
Tiffany Marie had bucket loads of energy as a kid. There wasn’t a sport she didn’t want to try. It was the perfect outlet for her abundant energy. But she didn’t give nutrition a second thought. She would be so busy playing sports, she would often go for long periods without eating. It’s a trap many of us fall into, being too busy to eat, and it never ends happily.
Hitting a Wall
Tiffany Marie continued living an active lifestyle, playing sports and neglecting her nutrition. This went on for years, until one day, it all came to an end. High school was over and so too was playing sports. Tiffany Marie’s life turned upside down. It went from being super active to doing absolutely nothing, from eating virtually nothing to eating as much of everything as possible! Tiffany told us:
It’s when I hit a wall and stopped. That’s when I started to gain weight and was diagnosed with hypoglycemia.
Tiffany Marie knew something was wrong because her abundant energy had taken a nose dive, and there were other symptoms too. After training or playing sports, she’d have problems with vertigo and nausea. She told us:
Instead of being a victim to this I decided to fix my condition through foods vs. relying on insulin or possibly creating diabetes by poor nutrition.
Back on Track
On top of her hypoglycemia, Tiffany Marie was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism. She knew her diet needed a radical overhaul if she was going to turn her life right side up. She told us:
I started studying nutrition and even hired a nutrition coach.
After working hard to lose the weight and gain back her health, Tiffany Marie was inspired. Her energy levels were back on track and she was ready to push herself to the next level. It was time to start prepping for her first-ever fitness show:
In October 2010, I entered in my first competition where I took 2nd. Eager to step on stage again – I competed the following weekend and won 1st place in my class.
From there I competed at Jr. Nationals in Chicago – 6 months later and won my class and obtained my IFBB PRO STATUS!
In record lightning speed, Tiffany Marie made it to the top. She told us:
Since turning Pro, I have successfully placed in the top 5 in all shows and the biggest accomplishment was placing 12th in my first Olympia. Then I was invited to the 2013 Arnold classic, made top honors, and placed 8th. Alongside my second Olympia placing 10th! Being top 10 in the WORLD still puts tears in my eyes. I am extremely humbled with everything that has been blessed in my life in the last few years.
But if you ask her what she’d do differently, she says she would recommend taking your time and enjoying the process. If you’re in too much of a hurry, not only will you miss out on the whole experience, but your health could suffer too.

Be Patient and enjoy the journey! SO many of us want fast results and will do anything to achieve them! Which is the number one no-no.
