Ryan is currently in his last semester of graduate school, working towards his Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice. As a student with a side job and a passion for competing, he stays on track by meal prepping and planning out his meals for the week. He told us:
I eat 6 times per day and every 2 hours, so having my meals prepared and properly stored in my Fitmark meal bag, regardless of my location, is always crucial in my productivity.
As a student, you know your academic and social calendar is going to be jam-packed, which means there’ll be precious little time to fix breakfast, lunch or dinner. Ryan’s advice is this:
My number one tip would be to start slowly on your path towards a healthy lifestyle. Make small manageable steps over time that eventually lead to a complete change in your nutrition style for the rest of your life.
So where do you start? Try with just one meal and a couple of snacks and water to get you through a day of college. Focus on packing a healthy, well-balanced lunch and two snacks – one for mid-morning and the other for mid-afternoon. Don’t forget to pack your water bottle too, so you can stay hydrated throughout the day.
