I started my fitness journey in 2010. I had always been very active when I was younger, cheerleading through my junior & high school years and dancing ballet for over 14 years however weight lifting was not something I was very familiar with. I began reading fitness magazines, joined a gym and even started working with a personal trainer. I started seeing changes in my body and was soon eager for new challenges. I signed up for my first fitness competition in September, 2010 & took top 5 in my very first show. I fell in love with fitness and had a true passion for competing. After receiving a flood of emails, texts, and messages on social media sites I decided to leave the typical desk job and pursue my passion by helping others realize their full fitness potential. From weight training to weight loss it is not about having the "perfect body" but it is about being the best version of you. Follow my fitness journey and the ladies of Team TaylerMade on Facebook. Nutrition / Supplements: CLA, BCAAs, Protein shakes. I also have 5-6 meals a day, protein based with veggies, complex carbs and healthy fats. I'm a clean eater year round which makes it an easy transition into contest prep diet. I also allow myself one cheat meal (usually Pizza or dessert) a week.
Training: I train 6 days a week. Mix between strength training, cardio and kick boxing. I love switching these up from week to week. Constantly keeping my body & muscles wondering what is next. I also do yoga once a week to maintain my flexibility.
